PROTOTYPES
We began our process by building mountboard model boxes which represent different parts of the theatre

ACRYLIC BOXES
We then turned the mountboard boxes into acrylic using the laser cutter

past, present and future
To create a visual link to the Albany, we used their iconic pink, yellow and white colour combination

ACETATE
We used acetate and paper to colour the inside of our acrylic boxes, to clearly differentiate the past, present and future elements

RENDER
We made a render of the theatre space using blocks to represent our concept digitally...

ROUGHS
...all the while making roughs and iterations for our series of gifs to represent the many different opportunities that the Albany has to offer

We photographed our Albany model in the photography studio
PHOTOGRAPHING

Test boxes we made out of MDF. Initially, we wanted to engrave symbols on the side of the boxes
tests

Our Albany built out of blocks representing activities from the past, present and future. Inspired by Fun Palace, you can take this model apart and put it back together in a different order
